Day 1 Board your overnight transatlantic flight and your British Isles vacation begins!

Day 2 London, England.
Welcome to London! Your tour escort and local guide are available to help you make the most of your stay. A group visit to WINDSOR CASTLE is included today as an early sign up tour bonus with Brian Judd Tours!

Day 3 London.
After a hearty English breakfast, morning sightseeing with a professional London Guide includes all the famous landmarks: Knightsbridge with Harrods, the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben beside the River Thames, Westminster Abbey, Whitehall’s mounted horseguards and the Prime Minister’s Downing Street, Piccadilly Circus and Buckingham Palace. Highlights are visits to ST. PAUL’S CATHEDRAL, Sir Christopher Wren’s masterpiece built between 1675 and 1708, and the ceremonial pageantry of the Changing of the Changing of the Guard (if held.)   Free time in the afternoon for independent activities or to join an optional excursion to the Tower of London with its fabulous Crown Jewels. Tonight maybe an optional dinner followed by a cruise on the River Thames? [FB]

Day 4 London-Stonehenge-Bath-Newport,Wales.
Meet your Tour Director and traveling companions and depart London at 8:00 a.m. for a memorable day’s sightseeing. First, travel to prehistoric STONEHENGE and try to figure out the ancient riddle. Explore the Visitors Center with its imaginative exhibitions, then admire the magnificene of the Stonehenge Monument up close. In the elegant Georgian city of Bath see the amazing excavations of the ROMAN BATHS. Finally, cross the River Severn for a late-afternoon arrival into Wales. Tonight, enjoy a welcome dinner at your hotel. [FB,D]

Day 5 Newport-Cardiff-Waterford, Ireland.
An orientation drive here features the major attractions: Cardiff Castle, Cathays Park, and the stately civic buildings. Continue along the South Wales coast to Fishguard where your FERRY is waiting. Sail across St. George’s Channel to Rosslare and proceed by coach to Waterford, a stronghold founded by the Danish Vikings in 853. After dinner this evening, enjoy an IRISH COFFEE DEMONSTRATION. Day 6 Waterford-Blarney-Killarney.
First of the day’s highlights is a guided tour of the newly opened HOUSE OF WATERFORD CRYSTAL. Via the port city of Cork, motor to Blarney, renowned for its magical Stone of Eloquence or “Kissing Stone.” Time for lunch, to walk up to the castle, and to shop for traditional Irish handicrafts. Afternoon arrival in Killarney, County Kerry, for a two-night stay. Later, join an entertaining optional evening in Tralee with dinner followed by tickets for Siamsa Tire National Folk Theatre.   [FB]

Day 7 Killarney-Ring of Kerry Excursion.
Follow the road known as the “Ring of Kerry” for a spectacular 100-mile panoramic drive around the islands southwestern tip. Take your pictures of sparkling seascapes, mountains dotted with brightly colored farmhouses, and the Lake of Killarney from Ladies View. This afternoon maybe an optional fun-filled horse drawn jaunting car ride.   [FB]

Day 8 Killarney-Adare-Cashel-Kildare-Dublin.
Drive to quaint Adare with its colorful thatched cottages and on to the rock of Cashel, where St. Patrick preached. Then visit the IRISH NATIONAL STUD at Kildare, whose fine thoroughbreds command respect on the racecourses of the world. After your guided tour, enjoy TEA and SCONES at the Japanese Garden Restaurant. This is a local favorite! Tonight, you may wish to enjoy an optional Irish Cabaret Evening, including dinner, dance, song and laughter.   [FB]

Day 9 Dublin.
Get an overview of Ireland’s capital as you drive to statue-lined O’Connell Street, elegant Georgian squares, and St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Afternoon at leisure to enjoy this vibrant city. Perhaps you’ll want to visit Oscar Wilde’s TRINITY COLLEGE, famous for the 1,200-year-old Book of Kells and the magnificent Old Library. A chance to join your Tour Director for an optional dinner evening at the Guinness Storehouse. [FB]

Day 10 Dublin-Malahide, Belfast-Northern Ireland.
Set in 250 acres of park land, and formerly both fortress and private home of the Talbot family for nearly 800 years, your first visit is at MALAHIDE CASTLE. Join your guide on a tour of the castle with its interesting mix of architectural styles, then stroll through the extensive gardens. On your way to Northern Ireland, cross the Boyne River and drive on to Belfast, where an orientation drive takes in all the famous landmarks, including City Hall, the Albert Memorial Clock Tower, and Queens University. Then, visit the fascinating TITANIC EXPERIENCE, where you learn all about the building of the largest passenger steam ship, its maiden voyage, and the tragic night of April 14, 1912.   [FB]

Day 11 Belfast-Edinburgh, Scotland.
Enjoy a leisurely morning before you board the FERRY to cross the North Channel to Cairnryan on Scotland’s southwest coast and continue through the scenic Scottish border country to Edinburgh. Tonight, enjoy our optional Scottish evening with Highland dancers, bagpipers, and the Ceremony of the Haggis. [FB]                                                                 

Day 12 Edinburgh.
Morning city sightseeing with a Local Guide introduces you to the 200-year-old “New Town” and famous scientists, inventors, and novelists. In the “Old Town,” drive up the narrow Royal Mile to EDINBURGH CASTLE to admire Scotland’s Crown Jewels, then explore HOLYROOD PALACE (except when the Queen is in residence). Afternoon at leisure.   Later enjoy the spectacular MILITARY TATTOO show!  [FB]

Day 13 Edinburgh-Alnwick, England-York.
Relax and enjoy vistas of the beautiful North Sea coastline as you drive via Berwick-upon-Tweed to Alnwick, voted “the best place to live in Britain” in a national survey. In York, England’s most complete medieval city, visit the great structure of YORK MINSTER, the largest gothic cathedral in Northern Europe. Then follow your Tour Director through a maze of quaint streets including the narrow Shambles   [FB,D]

Day 14 York-Coventry-Stratford-upon-Avon.
Discover the beautiful hometown and final resting place of Stratford’s most famous son, William Shakespeare. Stop first for photographs at Anne Hathaway’s Cottage, the 500-year-old farmhouse where the Bard courted his future wife. Then, enjoy a light LUNCH and visit SHAKESPEARE’S BIRTHPLACE, where he grew up and lived the first years of his married life.   [FB, L, D]

Day 15 Stratford-Upon-Avon -London.
Today’s highlight is a guided tour of magnificent BLENHEIM PALACE, home of the 12th Duke of Marlborough and birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. Depart after lunch and return to London at about 3:30 pm. How about celebrating the success of your vacation by taking in one of the great West End shows?    [FB]
