Wednesday - Oct. 3 SALT LAKE CITY * NEW YORK CITY
The fun begins this morning as we take our flight from Salt Lake City to New York City! Experience the best of Manhattan and the “Big Apple” on our city sightseeing tour including Rockefeller Plaza, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Hell’s Kitchen, plus photo stops at the Lincoln Center and Central Park. We have a fun group dinner tonight at a popular restaurant on 42nd Steet in the heart of Times Square. (D)
Thursday - Oct. 4 NEW YORK CITY
Your morning starts off with a fun New York Highlights tour. Ride the ferry to Ellis Island where over 12 million immigrants passed through to enter the United States. Then on to “Lady Liberty.” A centennial gift from the French, the Statue of Liberty stands 306 feet high overlooking New York Harbor. Enjoy Battery Park after getting off the ferry before returning to our motorcoach. (You might like to catch a Broadway Show while we are here). (B)
Thursday - Oct. 5 NEW YORK CITY
This morning we have a reserved visit to the expansive Ground Zero 9/11 Memorial Museum including time to reflect on the tree covered 9/11 Plaza. After a lunch break we’ll visit Times Square, Wall Street, and Federal Hall. This afternoon enjoy a nice walk in Central Park including a visit to ‘Strawberry Fields’. Continue our ‘Big Apple’ sightseeing with photo stops at Fifth Avenue, Historic Trinity Church, Chelsea Market and ‘The Islands” on the Hudson River. The “City that Never Sleeps” has something fun for everyone. (B)
Friday - Oct. 6 HUDSON VALLEY * WEST POINT * BERKSHIRE
Enjoy the beautiful Hudson River Valley scenery this morning as we make our way to “West Point”, our nation’s most famous Military Academy established in 1778. You’ll visit the West Point Museum, store and Visitors Center, with great views of the Hudson River. This afternoon we visit the famous Norman Rockwell Museum. Highlights include favorites from Rockwell’s Saturday Evening Post covers, the powerful Four Freedoms, nostalgic Stockbridge Main Street at Christmas, over 100,000 photos, and original Rockwell art. We stay in picturesque Berkshire tonight. (B,D)
Saturday - Oct. 7 BERKSHIRE * WHITE MOUNTAINS
This morning we’re off on a scenic journey through Vermont and New England’s “back roads and byways” to beautiful North Conway. We make our way through the spectacular White Mountains of New Hampshire, with photo stops at waterfalls, forests, mountain passes, and a covered bridge along the way. Enjoy a group dinner tonight in North Conway, then check in and relax at our New Hampshire Marriott hotel. (B,D)
Sunday - Oct. 8 PORTLAND * AUGUSTA * BANGOR * BAR HARBOR
Wake up in the fresh air of the White Mountains. After the unforgettable beauty and color of New Hampshire, a driving tour through Augusta and Bangor takes us to our picture-book destination - Bar Harbor Maine, where we stay the next two nights at our Bar Harbor Grand hotel. A Maine “Lobster Fest” dinner is included tonight. (B,D)
Monday - Oct. 9 ACADIA NATIONAL PARK
Your morning starts off with a drive through beautiful Acadia National Park. The First National Park East of the Mississippi River, people have been drawn to the rugged coast of Maine throughout history. Awed by its beauty and diversity, early 20th-century visionaries donated the land that became Acadia National Park. The park is home to many plants and animals, and Cadillac Mountain, the tallest peak on the U.S. Atlantic coast. Acadia National Park is rated as one of the world’s top travel destinations. (B)
Tuesday - Oct. 10 BAR HARBOR * YORK * PORTLAND HEAD * BOSTON
Enjoy a beautiful New England coastal drive as we travel south to historic Boston today. We’ll make a stop for photos of the Portland Head Lighthouse and take time for a lunch break and sights along the Harbor Front. Next visit York Beach for photos of the Nubble Lighthouse and a walk along the Atlantic Seaside. This afternoon we make our way to Boston, our fun destination for the next two days. A group dinner is included tonight. (B,D)
Wednesday - Oct. 11 BOSTON
This morning, we re-live the ‘midnight ride of Paul Revere’ as we see his home and the Old North Church. We also visit Granary Cemetery where Paul Revere, John Hancock, Sam Adams, James Otis, and other patriots are buried. We’ll visit Faneuil Hall and the site of the Boston Massacre. Enjoy a fun lunch and shopping stop at busy Quincy Market, then visit “Old Ironsides” and a photo stop at Fenway Park. (B)
Thursday - Oct. 12 BOSTON
Rise and shine! This morning you’ll enjoy the famous sights of Minute Man National Park, learn of the ‘shot heard around the world’ as our tour takes us to historic Lexington, and Concord. After a fun lunch break in historic Concord, we visit Bunker Hill, and spend time at the interpretive visitor’s center. (B)
Thursday - Oct. 13 BOSTON * SALT LAKE CITY
Tour the historic sites of Boston including Boston Commons, Old South Church, Boston Tea Party Harbor, and the intriguing locations of Copley Square. Fly home today with great memories of our “Fall Foliage adventure” to spectacular New England! You will really enjoy this fabulous tour! (B)
