You’ll have a beautiful New England coastal drive as we travel North to Bar Harbor, where we stay the next two nights at a nice hotel right in town. We make a stop for photos of York Beach Lighthouse, then enjoy a lunch break/sights in Kennebunkport. It took GHW Bush to make this town known, but New Englanders have enjoyed this quite coastal Maine town for years. A Maine “Lobster Fest” welcome dinner is included tonight.         (B,D)

Thursday – Oct. 8         ACADIA NATIONAL PARK
Your morning starts off with a drive to beautiful Acadia National Park. The First National Park East of the Mississippi River, people have been drawn to the rugged coast of Maine throughout history. Awed by its beauty and diversity, early 20th-century visionaries donated the land that became Acadia National Park. The park is home to many plants and animals, and Cadillac Mountian, the tallest peak on the U.S. Atlantic coast. Acadia National Park is rated as one of the World’s top travel destinations.      (B)

Friday – Oct. 9             BAR HARBOR * AUGUSTA * WHITE MOUNTAINS
After the unforgettable beauty and color of Maine, we make our way towards the White Mountains of New Hampshire. A nice drive through Augusta takes us to our destination. Enjoy time on your own tonight at Settlers’ Green Outlet Village, or just relax in our hotel right in the White Mountains.            (B)

Saturday – Oct. 10       WHITE MOUNTAINS * BERKSHIRE
Wake up in the amazing White Mountains with fresh mountain air. Enjoy the North Conway Village Green before our scenic drive through New England’s “back roads”. Then it’s off through Vermont to picturesque Berkshire, with photo stops at waterfalls, forests, mountain passes and a covered bridge along the way.          (B,D)

Today we visit the famous Norman Rockwell Museum. This museum houses the world’s largest and most significant collection of original Rockwell art. Highlights include enduring favorites from Rockwell’s Saturday Evening Post covers, the powerful Four Freedoms, and the nostalgic Stockbridge Main Street at Christmas. The Norman Rockwell Archive contains more than 100,000 photographs, letters and other rare mementos. Enjoy the beautiful Hudson Valley scenery this afternoon as we make our way to “Poughkeepsie” and the “Walkway Over the Hudson”. This is the world’s longest elevated pedestrian walkway, a unique and exciting experience with amazing views! Then we’re off to New York for our two night stay in the Big Apple!      (B)
