The fun begins this morning as we take our flight from Salt Lake City to New York and our two-night stay in the Big Apple!   Experience Manhattan on our city sightseeing tour including Rockefeller Plaza, the stores of Fifth Avenue, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Central Park, plus photo stops at Lincoln Center and Julliard School of Music. We have a fun group dinner tonight at a restaurant in the heart of 42nd Street. Time permitting, try the “Top of the Rock” with its spectacular views of New York City.       (D)

Day 2 –             NEW YORK CITY

Your morning starts off with a fun New York Highlights tour. Ride the ferry to Ellis Island where over 12 million immigrants passed through to enter the United States.  Then on to “Lady Liberty.”  A centennial gift from the French, the Statue of Liberty stands 306 feet high overlooking New York Harbor. Enjoy the sights and sounds of Battery Park after getting off the ferry before returning to our bus.  Next we visit the Ground Zero 911 Memorial, Times Square, Wall Street and Federal Hall.  You might like to catch a Broadway Show while we are here.     (B)

Day 3 –               HUDSON VALLEY * WEST POINT ACADEMY MUSEUM * BERKSHIRE

Enjoy the beautiful Hudson River Valley scenery this morning as we make our way to “West Point”, our nation’s most famous Military Academy, established in 1778.  You’ll visit the West Point Museum, store and Visitors Center, with great views of the Hudson River.  This afternoon we visit the famous Norman Rockwell Museum. This museum houses the world’s largest and most significant collection of original Rockwell art. Highlights include enduring favorites from Rockwell’s Saturday Evening Post covers, the powerful Four Freedoms, and the nostalgic Stockbridge Main Street at Christmas. The Norman Rockwell Archive contains more than 100,000 photographs, letters and other rare mementos. We stay in picturesque Berkshire tonight.   (B,D)

Day 4 –            BERKSHIRE * WHITE MOUNTAINS

This morning we’re off on a scenic journey through Vermont and New England’s “back roads” to spectacular North Conway and its Village Green.  We make our way through the White Mountains of New Hampshire, with photo stops at waterfalls, forests, mountain passes and a covered bridge along the way.  Enjoy time on your own tonight at Settlers’ Green Outlet Village after dinner, or just relax in our Nth. Conway Marriott hotel.     (B,D)

Day 5 –            WHITE MOUNTAINS * AUGUSTA * BANGOR * BAR HARBOR

Wake up in the White Mountains with fresh mountain air. After the unforgettable beauty and color of New Hampshire, a driving tour through Augusta and Bangor takes us to our destination - Bar Harbor Maine, where we stay the next two nights at a historic hotel right in town.  A Maine “Lobster Fest” dinner is included tonight.  (B,D)

Day 6 –        ACADIA NATIONAL PARK

Your morning starts off with a drive through beautiful Acadia National Park.  The First National Park East of the Mississippi River, people have been drawn to the rugged coast of Maine throughout history. Awed by its beauty and diversity, early 20th-century visionaries donated the land that became Acadia National Park. The park is home to many plants and animals, and Cadillac Mountain, the tallest peak on the U.S. Atlantic coast. Acadia National Park is rated as one of the World’s top travel destinations.  (B)

Day 7 –         BAR HARBOR * KENNEBUNKPORT * PORTLAND HEAD * BOSTON

You’ll have a beautiful New England coastal drive as we travel south to historic Boston. We make a stop for photos of Portland Head Lighthouse and enjoy a lunch break with sights in Kennebunkport.  It took GHW Bush to make this town known, but New Englanders have enjoyed this quite coastal Maine town for years.  This afternoon we make our way to Boston, our fun destination for the next two days. Dinner included tonight. (B,D)
Day 8 –                 BOSTON

Rise and shine!  This morning you’ll enjoy the many famous sights of Minute Man National Park, learn of the ‘shot heard around the world’ as our tour takes us to historic Lexington, Concord and Bunker Hill.  Fly home tonight with great memories of our Fall Foliage adventure to spectacular New England!         (B)
