Wonders of Peru "Land of the Incas"
including Lake Tititcaca and the Amazon

* May 12-27, 2024!
# 1-Rated itinerary

Waitlist only! Please call for details.

Peru is one of our favorite destinations to take groups to each year!
We truly love the people, the culture and the sights.  We know you will love Peru and come home with many wonderful memories and new friends!

When visiting Peru it is important to get
the full experience
rather than bits and pieces.

When comparing Peru programs between Travel Agencies, we strongly encourage you to look at their final price and not the advertised price!    Find out what's included, what size of group do they take, what sights are paid for, do they have optional sightseeing tours to important sights that are not included while on tour, how many meals are included, what type of accommodations are included, do they include the Amazon, do they include Lake Titicaca, and especially how much time do you have at the very special and once-in-a-lifetime visit to Machu Picchu!

All of these components are absolutely necessary to fully enjoy your Peruvian Experience.  Although Machu Picchu is the main highlight for most, you do not want to travel to Peru and miss out on the Amazon and Lake Titicaca.  In fact, most of our travelers have said that the Amazon and/or Lake Titicaca, far exceeded expectations and they would rank those places as high as Machu Picchu!

* Brian Judd Tours offers a special group package for a limited group size of 34 only!

* We include all sights, with no "extra" sights for more money.
We include ALL admissions and visit all important sights. No optional excursions!

* We have a total of 35 meals included in our program.
Most tours will only offer breakfast and maybe a dinner or two.  Meals are very expensive in Peru and are at least $30.00 per person.  We have also hand selected only the very best restaurants for you to eat at.  We know that the food is clean and safe to eat! This takes the worry away from you that you could possibly get sick by having to pick a restaurant that you know nothing about.  We go inside their kitchens and make sure that their food preparation, cleanliness and quality is top notch!

* Lake Titicaca, Arequipa and the Amazon are all included right from the start!
They are not "add-ons" as they are amazing places and should be visited! By including Arequipa, The Amazon and Lake Titicaca right from the start, you get "group discounts" and pay a discounted rate.  While our tour price may seem more expensive than others, it is because we have included much more right from the start, to give you the BEST VALUE available anywhere!

* All of our hotels and lodges are the very best!
We do not cut corners when it comes to our accomodations!

* We spend more time at Inca sights than any other Travel Agency.
A well planned itinerary taking you to all the important sights and giving you the time needed to fully enjoy, learn and experience all the sights is critical!  We don't just take you for a quick picture, we take you to experience and enjoy!

* We have a full day at Machu Picchu!  This is very rare to find in Peru Programs.
* Even with the new entrance time restrictions at Machu Picchu we will still have ample and more time at Machu Picchu than any other agency! We overnight in Aguas Calientes instead of returning back to the Sacred Valley by train.  By doing this, we do not have to rush through Machu Picchu. Rather, we enjoy our time, stop for pictures, take the time to learn from our Expert Peruvian Educators and really experience Machu Picchu.  If you return by train to the Sacred Valley you do not have the same time and experience at Machu Picchu that we offer in our program.  We do it right!

* We spend three nights in the Sacred Valley!
This will allow your body time to aclimate to the higher elevations and also give us more time to visit the Ollantaytambo Ruins and city,  the Pisac Ruins and terraces, the Moray ruins and the Mara Salt Mines.  Enjoy more time, a nicer pace and take in the sights rather than rush through them, or just have time to visit the markets. We plan our itineraries to allow our groups the time to experience, learn and enjoy all the special points of interest that we visit.

When you compare our Complete Land Package with others, you will readily see that our Complete Land Package Price is a BETTER VALUE right from the start.  Others may start low, but by the time you add in and add on all the features that are already included in our package they are actually much more expensive than Brian Judd Tours.

Plus we limit our group to a total size of 34 people, which means we only have one bus and you never feel like you are part of a crowd!   Join us for the trip-of-a-lifetime!!

At Brian Judd Tours we give you more for your money right from the very start!  We offer "Better Quality, Better Value and Better Service!"  Experience the World with us!

Complete Land package price INCLUDES:

* Special Meal Package - 35 Total Meals!
On our tour we include a full breakfast daily as well as one lunch or dinner.
(Over $895.00 per person value included, just on meals!)

* Note on meals: Most meals in Peru cost on average $20-$30 per person.
Our Included meal package is an incredible bonus!

We are the only tour company who offers this incredible value in your package! You will appreciate all the included meals vs. constantly paying $20-$30 per person for each meal.   No need to worry about where to eat, or finding a good place, we have found them for you!

* Full Day, Machu Picchu Experience
For over 30 years escorting tours to Peru we have always included a full day experience at Machu Picchu and this has not changed! Even with the new restrictions at Machu Picchu, we have adjusted our itinerary so that we can purcahse and enjoy the "Full Circuit Tour", rather than one of the lesser circuits that do not allow you to visit the entire site.

Most tours only have a couple hours at this incredible Inca site and do not include the full circuit tour, but we do!  Machu Picchu is one of the highlights of Peru and unless you have a full day to visit and purchase the full circuit tour, you simply miss out!    Most groups visit Machu Picchu on a day tour from the Sacred Valley and because of this, they only have a couple hours to visit before they need to line up for the bus, take the bus down the mountain (takes about 20-25 minutes down), walk to the train station and then line up in time to make their return train back to the Sacred Valley.  This is a mistake!
We overnight in Aguas Calientes, purchase the "Full Circuit tour", and spend the entire day visiting Machu Picchu.  We take our time, we stop for photos, we learn from our Expert Peruvian Educators and stop to discuss the importance of what we are seeing while others rush by, focused on making it to the line for the bus in time, so that they do not miss their train.

You will appreciate that we include the "Full Circuit Tour" and are not rushed at Machu Picchu!  We do it right!

* Deluxe Hotel package: We only stay at the best hotels in Peru!
Included in our package is 13-nights in 5-Star, Luxury and Deluxe Hotels

      * Three nights in the Sacred Valley - 5-Star Luxury Hotel
      * One night in Aguas Calientes - Deluxe Hotel

You will travel in Peru with the best tour guides Peru has to offer. Their knowledge and experience is second to none! You will be traveling with Brian Judd Tour's Peru expert, Steve Judd, but we will also have an Inca Culture Expert, a Peruvian cultural and spiritual expert and Amazon Rainforest experts!  Truly the best of the best!!

* Personal Headset receivers
Individual headset receivers are used during this tour so that while we are visiting the sights you can hear our local guides while having the ability to step away to take a picture.

* Vista Dome Train to Machu Picchu
Sit back and relax as you travel past the Inca Trail on an incredible train to Machu Picchu! Equipped with leather seats and glass ceilings for amazing views!

* Lake Titicaca experience Included!
This is another highlight of the tour as we spend the day at the Floating Islands of Los Uros and visit the island of Taquile. Each year this is one of our passenger's main highlights of their trip to Peru.   You will love the people and culture as we spend the full day on Lake Titicaca!  ($845.00 per person value)

* Deluxe motor coach, restroom and DVD equipped
Travel through this beautiful country in style with a fully equipped deluxe motor coach. There are a lot of really poor quality coaches in Peru, but we use only the best giving you extra leg room and space!  Plus our motor coach has a restroom and DVD player for us to watch informational movies on longer drive days!

* Limited to 34 passengers
We limit our group size to only 34 passengers. This allows a more personal experience as you get to know your local guides and passengers. You will appreciate the small group atmosphere. When we say 34 passengers we mean it! We do not add extra buses or second departure dates. Traveling in a small group means less waiting, more time at sights and a more enjoyable vacation!

* Fully Escorted from Salt Lake City by Steve Judd
Let us take care of you and all the little details as you travel. Steve has been traveling to Peru since he was 8 years old with his Father, Brian Judd. This is one of his favorite tours to take each year as he loves the culture and people! Steve has extensive knowledge of Peru and along with our Local Peruvian Expert Educators, we are positive you will have an amazing experience! Plus Steve is fluent in Spanish!

This truly is " THE TRIP OF A LIFETIME"!

Your Peruvian adventure finally begins today as you depart Salt Lake to Houston. We will meet guests flying from other cities before our International flight. Boarding begins this afternoon for our flight to Lima, Peru. Meals are served on the international flight. After arrival in Lima we enjoy an overnight stay at the Wyndham Costa Del Sol, Lima airport hotel,   (D)

Day 2 - Lima * Cusco

We fly on the preferred flight arriving into Cusco early afternoon today. After landing we will have a nice welcome meal with the group at a local restaurant. We then travel to the Sacred Valley of the Incas with picturesque stops along the way. Enjoy the scenery all around you as we travel by Deluxe Motor Coach. Later this afternoon, we check into our Luxury 5-Star hotel for the next three nights. Enjoy the beautiful grounds of this amazing hotel. Our Luxury 5-Star property surrounded by beautiful mountains and right next to the Urubamba River.  Enjoy a welcome dinner with your traveling companions. (L,D)

Day 3 - Sacred Valley * Ollantaytambo Ruins & Pisac Ruins

Today we visit the town of Ollantaytambo and the impressive Inca ruins. During the Inca Empire, Ollantaytambo was the royal estate of Emperor Pachacuti who conquered the region, built the town and a ceremonial center. At the time of the Spanish conquest of Peru it served as a stronghold for Manco Inca Yupanqui, leader of the Inca resistance. After spending the morning at the Ollantaytambo Ruins we have a special visit with a local family in town. Learn about their culture and see how they continue to live in an original Inca Home. Walk the streets with our Peruvian Expert Guides as you learn about the Great Inca Empire. This is a fascinating cultural experience you won’t forget. Enjoy a great Lunch at a local restaurant in the Sacred Valley.

After lunch we then visit the incredible Inca Terraces at the Pisac Ruins. Most tours only go to Pisac to visit the local market. Trust us when we say you will have PLENTY of time to shop while in Peru! This morning our Expert Peruvian Guides will take us to the Pisac Ruins high above the Sacred Valley. The Ruins of Pisac are separated along the mountain ridge into four separate groups: P’isaqa, Inti Watana, Q’allaqasa and Kinchiraqay. We’ll spend the entire morning and early afternoon exploring these fascinating ruins. The Pisac Ruins are considered by many to be second only to Machu Picchu. After an unforgettable morning and introduction into the Inca Culture experience, you’ll enjoy lunch at one of the Sacred Valley’s finest restaurants. Return to our 5-Star luxury hotel for rest of the day at leisure. (B,L)

Day 4 - Sacred Valley * Mara Salt Mines * Moray Terraces

For many years we have stayed two nights in the Sacred Valley, but after many clients expressing how much they loved the hotel and the Ruins of Ollantaytambo and Pisac, we decided that we would add one more day to the itinerary and one more night in the Sacred Valley. This will allow us to have more time to enjoy one of the very Best hotels in Peru as well as much more time in Ollantaytambo and Pisac.

Enjoy a full buffet breakfast this morning before our visit the incredible Mara Salt Mines and the Inca ruins of Moray. With its beautiful landscape in the Sacred Valley, this is another wonder of nature. The Mara Salt Mines are set as terraces aside a hill and have been in use by the local people since the pre-Inca civilizations. The locals today are proud to continue using the ancient techniques to mine the salt. With hundreds of salt ponds this is a sight to see! As the water seeps into each of the ponds the sun evaporates the water leaving beautiful salt crystals. After a month the salt reaches 3 inches high and it is ready to be harvested. Enjoy a walk along the sides of the terraces which are surrounded by small streams, the light in the fields, the impressive mountains, the white sea of salt, and the barrenness of what is around, making the Maras something of magic and legend.

After an unforgettable morning we have a wonderful group lunch before visiting the incredible Moray terraces.  While much is unkown about the Inca, the Moray Terraces are thought to have been an agricultural site for the Inca. Consisting of several terraced circular depressions, the largest of which is approximately 100 feet deep. The purpose of these depressions is uncertain, but their depth, design, and orientation with respect to wind and sun creates a temperature climate at each level. You will enjoy our guided tour through the different levels feeling the pressure and temperature change at each one.  After an incredible day we return to our 5-star luxury hotel for some free time. Dinner tonight is included as you get to know your traveling companions!   (B,L,D)

Day 5 - Sacred Valley * Executive Vista Dome Train
* Machu Picchu * Aguas Calientes

Today is one of the highlights of the tour as we visit the incomparable Machu Picchu. Early this morning we board our Vista Dome Train with full glass windows & glass ceilings which takes us to the town of Aguas Calientes. After arriving at the charming town we will have some time to drop off what we do not need for the day at our hotel before we board our bus that will take us to Machu Picchu. Most tours only visit Machu Picchu for a couple of hours on a day trip from Cusco or Ollantaytambo. In our opinion this is a mistake! Even a few hours at Machu Picchu is not enough time to fully enjoy and learn about this Majestic City high in the Andes. After taking tours to Peru for over 29 years we know the best ways to fully take advantage of our time in each place. For this reason we spend nearly a full day in Machu Picchu and stay in Aguas Calientes tonight in a deluxe hotel. We have two local Peruvian Educators in Machu Picchu that will guide the group through all the important sights before giving you free time to explore Aguas Calientes on your own. After a full day enjoying Machu Picchu we will recharge with a group dinner tonight.

Note: We stay right in Aguas Calientes only a few minutes walk from the bus station, by doing this you can return to our hotel from Machu Picchu when YOU ARE FINISHED and ready for a rest. Most tours need to rush and leave by mid-afternoon in order to catch the bus down from Machu Picchu and then to their train so that they can return to their hotel in Cusco. As mentioned, this is a mistake! Cusco is not close to Machu Picchu and most of these "day tours" from Cusco only allow for a couple hours at Machu Picchu and include over 6-7 hours of round-trip travel.   We truly take advantage of our time at Machu Picchu.  (B, Snack lunch on train, D)

Day 6 - Aguas Calientes * Cusco

After breakfast, we board our Train making our way past the famous Inca Trail into the Sacred Valley. We'll board our deluxe air conditioned, restroom equipped bus taking us for a fantastic group lunch before making our way into the city of Cusco. We have a special surprise stop for you en-route! This afternoon we check into our 5-Star Luxury hotel, the JW Marriott Cusco for the next two nights. This is one of the premier hotels in Peru. Rest break at the hotel before our special group dinner with a fantastic cultural show!  (B,L,D)

Day 7 - Cusco

This morning after breakfast, our Peruvian Expert Educators will teach us about and take us to many other important Inca sites such as: Saccssayhuaman - the former Capital of the Inca Empire which sits atop a hill overlooking Cusco, Coricancha- revered as the most important Temple in the Inca Empire, Tambomachay - consisting of a series of aqueducts, canals and waterfalls that run through the terraced rocks, Qenko - one of the largest holy places in the Cusco region and Puca Pucara - a site of military ruins made of large terraces, walks and staircases. Lunch with the group this afternoon. The evening is free to explore Cusco on your own.  (B,L)

Day 8 - Cusco * Puno

After breakfast this morning we board our deluxe air conditioned, restroom equipped motor coach and we are joined by the Premier Local Expert for this region and make our way to the city of Puno. We'll first visit Raqchi, an Inca site of the Temple of Wiracocha. En-route we have a stop for lunch and some time for souvenir shopping. Later today we arrive at our luxury 5-star hotel which has amazing views of Lake Titicaca. Free time at the hotel this evening to enjoy the grounds and facilities.  (B,L)

Day 9- Lake Titicaca * The Floating Islands of Los Uros

Today is another highlight of the tour. We board a private speed boat with our Local Educator to take us out on Lake Titicaca. At 12,500 feet above sea level located on the borders of Peru and Bolivia it is the world's largest navigable lake. Our first visit is to the people of Los Uros on their Floating Islands. Built out of the reed from the lake, these floating islands are an amazing site to see. We'll spend time with one of the local families who will show us how they make the floating islands and teach us about their fascinating culture. You'll have an option to travel by reed boat to another nearby island where we will spend time with the local school children. Later, we return to Puno to a local restaurant that offers incredible views of Lake Titicaca for a buffet lunch. The rest of your evening is at leisure to enjoy the hotel grounds, spa and enjoyable atmosphere.  (B,L)

Day 10 - Puno * Arequipa * Santa Catalina

New for 2016 - two night Arequipa experience! Breakfast this morning before departing Lake Titicaca to beautiful Arequipa. This morning we'll enjoy teh charming city of Puno, there is alot to see and do and or local expert will take us into Puno before departing for Arequipa. Our journey takes us from the highlands to the second largest city of Peru. Enjoy the breathtaking views as we travel through the canyons ascending to higher elevations before gradually coming down to near 7,000 feet above sea level. Enjoy the fresh mountain air and photo stops along the way. Today we'll have a picnic lunch en-route before arriving into Arequipa. Upon arrival we visit the incomparable Santa Catalina Convent. The Convent is listed as one of the thousand must see places to visit in the world along with Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca, Cusco and Pisac! After an unforgettable visit we check into our 5-star luxury hotel for the next two nights.    (B,L)

Day 11 - Arequipa City Sights

After breakfast, we'll visit the highlights of Arequipa. This colonial city is famous for its faithfulness to the Spanish Crown. Nicknamed the "White City", Arequipa is surrounded by spectacular mountains, including the volcanoes: El Misti, Chachani and Picchu Picchu. A fascinating feature of the city is its many beautiful buildings made of a light-colored volcanic rock called sillar. We visit many interesting places such as The Church and Square of San Francisco, Dome of La Compania de Jesus, Colonial Homes, the Plaza de Armas and more! Enjoy a group lunch this afternoon.   (B,L)

Day 12 - Arequipa * Iquitos * The Amazon

Our journey in Peru now takes us to the Amazon Rain Forest. We board our morning flight to Lima and connect to a short flight into Iquitos, the largest city in the Peruvian Rain Forest. After landing in Iquitos we have a city sightseeing tour before boarding our boat this afternoon which takes us up the Famous Amazon River. After arriving at our Deluxe Lodge - Ceiba Tops, many included options will be available this evening. Tonight relax in the hammock house, take a stroll around the lodge or swim in the pool!  (B,L,D)

Day 13 - The Amazon

Relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of our deluxe lodge and enjoy the many activities included in the program. This morning we are joined by our local experts who will take us on a fun nature walk around the lodge. The afternoon is at leisure to swim in the pool, feed the monkeys and rest. Later today we'll venture off to fish for Piranha. If you catch a Piranha, our guides will cook it for dinner!   (B,L,D)

Day 14 - The Amazon

Morning boat excursion to search for the two species of Dolphins found in the Amazon, both the pink and grey. Today we also have a special visit to a local tribe to see and learn about their culture first hand. Tonight enjoy a beautiful Amazonian sunset on the river.  (B,L,D)

Day 15 - The Amazon * Lima * International Flight

This morning we will visit an Amazonian City right on waters edge. Here we spend time at a local elementary school giving you an opportunity to interact with the people and experience life on the Amazon River. After lunch we'll take a boat ride on the Amazon to the city of Iquitos. Later, we board our flight to Lima where we will connect with our international flight to Houston.    (B,L)

WELCOME HOME!!

Questions on altitude:

We have planned this itinerary to give your body time to acclimatize to the higher elevations in Peru. We'll spend Three-nights in the Sacred Valley at lower elevations of around 8,000 feet above sea level before going to higher elevations in Cusco and Lake Titicaca. When traveling to higher altitudes in Peru a well planned itinerary considering altitude is essential.
